French luxury conglomerate LVMH Group has appointed Philippe Farnier as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Parfums Christian Dior and the LVMH Beauty Division, effective immediately.

In his new role, Philippe Farnier will report to Véronique Courtois, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Parfums Christian Dior and the LVMH Beauty Division. The two will work closely together to advance key strategic projects and oversee the commercial and omnichannel operations of the entire division.
In its official announcement, LVMH Group stated that Philippe Farnier’s mission will be to work with the Group’s brands to drive transformation, enhancing synergies, business integration and competitiveness in the evolving beauty market.

Philippe Farnier brings more than 30 years of management experience in the global luxury sector. Beginning in 1990, he held management positions at Mondelez and Heineken. In 2003, he joined Yves Saint Laurent Beauté as General Manager for France.
He first joined LVMH Group in 2008 as General Manager of Parfums Christian Dior France, and in 2013 was promoted to General Manager of Travel Retail for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as Global Marketing Director. In 2015, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Americas at Rémy Cointreau, and in 2018 became Chief Executive Officer of Rémy Cointreau and head of Corporate Social Responsibility.
In April 2022, Philippe Farnier returned to LVMH Group as a member of the Executive Committee of Parfums Christian Dior, taking full responsibility for global commercial activities.
Capella
Singapore-based luxury hotel brand Capella Hotels and Resorts has appointed Roland Fasel as President, effective 6 April.

In his new role, he will be responsible for upholding the operational excellence and brand positioning of both Capella Hotels and Resorts and Patina Hotels & Resorts, leading the Group towards its stated objective of doubling its current portfolio of 11 properties by 2030.
Most recently, Roland Fasel served as Chief Operating Officer of the London-headquartered Maybourne Hotel Group, where he led the transformation of Maybourne into a direct-to-consumer brand and oversaw the launch of the luxury hotel The Emory in London, as well as the wellness brand Surrenne.
Prior to joining Maybourne, Roland Fasel served as Chief Operating Officer of Aman Resorts from 2017 to 2023, overseeing global operations during a period of rapid expansion. He supervised the opening of several properties, including Amanyangyun in the Chinese Mainland, Aman Kyoto in Japan, and the landmark project Aman New York.
Roland Fasel first assumed a general manager position at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. He also served as General Manager of Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz, Switzerland. In addition, he played a key role in the founding of Dorchester Collection and served as General Manager of The Dorchester for nine years. He also held the position of Regional Director for the UK, overseeing properties including Coworth Park and 45 Park Lane.
He began his career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in the United States and later held several senior management roles in Southeast Asia.
