DFS

DFS, the travel retail giant under LVMH, announced the resignation of CEO Benjamin Vuchot, who is leaving to pursue other career interests.

Ed Brennan will take over as interim CEO. Brennan has over 25 years of experience with DFS, having twice served as the company’s Chairman and CEO. For the past four years, he has been a non-executive director at DFS, deeply involved in the company’s strategic development.

Benjamin Vuchot joined DFS in September 2020, after holding a management role at beauty retailer Sephora, where he played a key role in the growth of Sephora’s business in Asia.

A graduate of ESSEC Business School in France, Vuchot began his career with luxury jewelry brand Cartier and later joined Van Cleef & Arpels, where he oversaw operations in Asia. Before becoming CEO of DFS, he led DFS’s operations in the Greater China and South Korea markets.

Salomon

French outdoor sports brand Salomon has appointed Anne-Laure Nicod as Global Director of Public Relations and Communications, succeeding Tim Sweeney, who has stepped down.

In her new role, Nicod will be based at Salomon’s headquarters in Annecy, France, and will lead the brand’s global communications efforts. This includes overseeing PR and social media strategies, enhancing awareness of the brand’s products, athlete partnerships, and key initiatives to expand the brand’s influence.

Before joining Salomon, Nicod served as Global Director of Content and Social Media for the fragrance and beauty division at French luxury brand Chanel for nearly four years, where she helped restructure the brand’s social media ecosystem. She was involved in major product launches such as N°1 de Chanel, Bleu de Chanel, and 31 le Rouge, as well as the “Le Grand Numéro de Chanel” exhibition in Paris. Prior to that, she worked in various advertising agencies for over 15 years.

Nike

American sports giant Nike has appointed Tom Peddie as Vice President and General Manager of its North American market, replacing Scott Uzzell, who has decided to leave the company.

In his new role, Peddie will lead all of Nike’s business operations in North America, including direct-to-consumer, sales, marketing, digital, consumer development, and regional strategies.

In July of this year, Nike brought Tom Peddie out of retirement to serve as Vice President of Marketplace Partnerships, where he oversaw retail relationships. Peddie initially retired in 2020 after more than 30 years at Nike, during which he held several senior leadership roles, including his final role as Vice President and General Manager of North America.

Mizuno

Mizuno, the long-established Japanese sports brand, has announced a reorganization of its sales management team for its U.S. operations, appointing three regional managers.

Under the new structure, Casey Barrett will oversee the newly established Northern region, Greg Udzielak will continue to lead the Western region, and Matt Baum will head the newly defined Southern region.

In a press release, Mizuno Running highlighted the importance of building authentic relationships with retailers. The new structure will strengthen regional management interaction, allowing the team to find innovative ways to better serve the professional market. These organizational and personnel changes underscore Mizuno’s commitment to the running specialty channel and its determination to foster strong partnerships within the industry.

Mulberry

Gilhart’s departure will mark the end of her nearly decade-long tenure at Mulberry.

A seasoned fashion industry professional, Julie Gilhart provides creative business consulting services to clients such as Amazon, LVMH, Goyard, Jil Sander, and Prada.
