LVMH

French luxury conglomerate LVMH has appointed Michael Burke as President and CEO of LVMH Americas, effective July 7.

In his new role, Burke will report to Stéphane Bianchi, Managing Director of the LVMH Group. Additionally, Anish Melwani, CEO of LVMH Inc., and Davide Marcovitch, President of LVMH Latin America, will report to Burke.

A veteran executive at LVMH, Burke joined the Arnault family’s holding company, Groupe Arnault, in the 1980s, where he oversaw U.S. investments. From 1986 to 1992, he served as CEO of Christian Dior USA, and from 1992 to 1997, he was CEO of Louis Vuitton North America. In 1997, he was appointed Global Managing Director of Christian Dior Couture, followed by his appointment as Chairman and CEO of Fendi in 2003. In 2012, he became CEO of BVLGARI and later served as Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton.

In January 2021, following LVMH’s acquisition of U.S. fine jewelry brand Tiffany & Co., Burke was named Non-Executive Chairman of its Board. Since February 2023, he has served as Strategic Advisor to the Chairman of the LVMH Group. He has also been a board member of the Fédération Française de la Couture since 2016.

In 2024, Stéphane Bianchi was appointed Chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group.

Galeries Lafayette

French department store group Galeries Lafayette has appointed Arthur Lemoine as CEO.

A member of the founding family, Lemoine currently serves as Head of Product and Purchasing at Galeries Lafayette. He will succeed his cousin Nicolas Houzé, who will now focus on his role as Chairman of the Group Executive Committee.

Lemoine has been with the company for 15 years and has in-depth knowledge of its operations. He began his career as a perfume buyer at BHV Marais, later overseeing the perfume categories at both BHV Marais and Galeries Lafayette. He went on to manage the food category and played a key role in introducing the Eataly restaurant chain to the Marais location.

In 2018, he became Head of Watch and Jewelry Business at the Louis Pion-Royal Quartz brands, later serving as Purchasing Director at Galeries Lafayette. In that role, he led the restructuring of the luxury, designer, and contemporary fashion categories at the flagship Haussmann store in Paris—a project that allowed for close collaboration with numerous brands and media partners. In the latest fiscal year, the Haussmann location recorded annual sales exceeding €2 billion.

Lemoine is also a member of the Galeries Lafayette Executive Committee and manages the Group’s corporate foundation, Lafayette Anticipations.

Wolford

Marco Pozzo has been appointed Deputy CEO and Board Member of Austrian luxury lingerie brand Wolford, owned by global fashion luxury group Lanvin Group. His appointment took effect on July 7.

Pozzo brings extensive cross-sector experience in the fashion and consumer goods industries. His addition is expected to strengthen Wolford’s governance structure and support its ongoing industrial and commercial revitalization strategy.

With Pozzo’s appointment, Wolford’s Executive Committee now comprises four members: Chief Financial Officer Andrea Rossi, Chief Operating Officer Ralf Polito, Global Head of Human Resources Domenico Giordano, and Deputy CEO Marco Pozzo.

The brand is still searching for a permanent CEO. In the interim, CFO Andrea Rossi is serving as acting CEO.
