Swiss sportswear brand On announced that its Co-CEO Marc Maurer will step down.
Marc Maurer will remain in his role until June 30, and will continue to provide advisory support to company co-founders David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti, as well as to the board of directors, through March 2026.
On his personal social media, Marc Maurer stated: “I wanted to share this personal letter I wrote for the On team, the many athletes and partners around us, and the friends who have accompanied us over the past 13 years. My time at On is coming to an end, but I will never forget this team, the memories we created, and the communities we moved to. It has been a great honor to create a success story like no other together.”
Marc Maurer holds an MBA from INSEAD and previously held positions at Kuoni, Sunrise, McKinsey, and Valora Group. He joined On in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer and was appointed Co-CEO in 2021.
On stated that it will transition to a single CEO structure. Current Co-CEO and Chief Financial Officer Martin Hoffmann will take over as sole CEO starting July 1, 2025. While the company searches for a new CFO, Hoffmann will continue to serve in his current dual capacity.
Bianchi
Italian bicycle brand Bianchi has appointed Alberto Cavaggioni as General Manager and Chief Executive Officer.
In his new role, Cavaggioni will lead the brand in embodying the spirit of cycling while driving global growth, with a particular focus on continued expansion in Europe and developing markets in North America, Asia, and the Chinese Mainland.
With over 25 years of international leadership experience, Cavaggioni has held prominent roles across industrial, automotive, and engineering consultancy sectors in Europe, the United States, and the Chinese Mainland. His career has been closely tied to many iconic Italian brands. Most recently, he served as CEO of Italian engineering consultancy RINA Consulting. He previously held positions as Marketing Director at Iveco, Head of Alfa Romeo for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Head of Maserati for Europe and the Chinese Mainland.
Founded in 1885, Bianchi is known as the “world’s oldest surviving bicycle brand” and is currently owned by Swedish entrepreneur Salvatore Grimaldi’s Grimaldi Industri AB Group.
To celebrate its 140th anniversary, Bianchi launched two new limited-edition high-end models in March: the Oltre RC (€13,999 [approximately USD 15,100]) and the Specialissima RC (€12,699 [approximately USD 13,700]), each limited to 140 units worldwide. In addition, the brand’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Treviglio is set to be completed in early June.
REI Co-op
REI Co-op, the largest specialty outdoor retailer in the United States, has appointed Kristin Shane as Chief Merchandising Officer.
In her new role, Kristin Shane will be responsible for setting and executing the vision and strategy across REI’s merchandise categories to drive growth. She will oversee teams focused on identifying new category and brand opportunities for partners, enhancing regional and local product relevance, strengthening existing brand relationships, and expanding REI’s private-label business.
Prior to this role, Kristin Shane served as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Guitar Center, Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at PetSmart, and Vice President and Divisional Merchandise Manager for Beauty and Personal Care at Target.
Kontoor Brands
American denim apparel group Kontoor Brands has appointed Jamie Givens as General Manager for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
In this role, Givens will lead business operations for the Wrangler and Lee brands across EMEA, translating Kontoor’s global strategies into accelerated regional brand growth. He will report to Tom Waldron, Chief Operating Officer of Kontoor Brands.
Prior to joining Kontoor, Jamie Givens was CEO of Lacoste for North and Central America. For four years before that, he led Lacoste’s business in the UK and Ireland. He has also held leadership roles at Levi Strauss & Co., DIM, TIGI Haircare, and Remploy Ltd.

Fashion brand & Other Stories, part of the H&M Group, has appointed Jonathan Saunders as Chief Creative Officer.
Jonathan Saunders will assume the role in the first half of the year, taking charge of the overall creative direction of the brand, shaping its evolution and expression across all touchpoints.
A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art and Central Saint Martins in London, Saunders has served as a creative consultant for Calvin Klein and launched his own label, Jonathan Saunders International, in 2004, which he ran for 12 years.
Since 2018, he has operated his own studio and consultancy, Saunders Studio, advising brands such as Tiffany & Co., Chloé, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Pucci, and Marc Jacobs. He has also served as Creative Director at Pollini and was Chief Creative Officer at DVF (Diane von Furstenberg) for three and a half years.
